Here's the final batch of pictures for now. I'm going to be getting started on the "polishing up" stage soon, in preparation for the second Amazon festival.

| an "extended deadline" |
Its been a while with this update! Anyway, eventually Tribeca called me back, and a very friendly, and very apologetic, woman explained that Amazon/Tribeca take FULL responsibility for the issue, and that it is totally their fault, and I was well within what was expected to be uploading at 90 minutes to go. She hinted at there being several hundred of us, and said that unfortunately due to the nature of the contest, and the fact that it has already gone "live" and is being voted on right now there is nothing they can do.
Instead, they've decided to hold another contest in July, and they offered me a free "film career consultation" where a rep would sit down and watch my movie, and give me advice, I guess (lol - not sure what that would ential) next time I'm in NYC.
So - I'm looking at this as an extended deadline. By July my movie is going to be awesome.
Oh, yeah, I'm also going to submit it within the first 3 minutes of the contest |

| Tribeca |
The friendly folks at Tribeca (who's website strictly admonished me NOT to call them re: Amazon) told me they have received over 80 complaint so far, and added mine to the list. They said they will figure out who to give it to, and see that we are not ignored. It's so nice to talk to someone who actually cares. This is looking promising because 80 people who were unfairly kicked out makes a much interesting news item than 1 person, and its the sort of news item Amazon wouldn't like |

| Trouble continues |
Amazon is attempting to avoid the problem by vaguely mentioning possible future film festivals
I'm quite sure that it is illegal to prevent me from entering if I followed all of the rules just because their site malfunctioned. I'm also quite sure that they know this.. and if I push a little further they'll give in. |

| Two phone calls and a TV interview |
Well, I was just interviewed at my home for Worcester 3 TV.
Anyway, Amazon.com has not replied to any of my recent emails. I'm assuming things are nutty over there, and they're working on some sort of system for us folks who got left out. It talked to Customer Service, and Amazon Corporate, using little known phone numbers from the secret amazon.com phone number page: http://clicheideas.com/amazon.htm
Both departments said that the film festival is essential a secret sub section of Amazon and they (mere mortals who man the phones) are not allowed to know where to transfer my calls. They did however mention that there have been some number of these calls, relating to very similar incidents, and that hopefully something will be worked out. |
